Apartments near Germantown Town Center, townhomes in Kingsview and Churchill, new-construction homes in Clarksburg — moved by our in-house crews, billed by the hour.
Germantown and Clarksburg are some of the fastest-growing parts of Montgomery County, and the moves we see here reflect that: renters moving from apartment communities into their first townhouse, families moving into new construction in Clarksburg, and people relocating along the I-270 corridor for work.
New-construction moves come with their own details — fresh floors and walls to protect, builder walkthrough dates, and HOA rules that kick in on day one. We bring floor runners and padding, and we schedule around your settlement and walkthrough so the crew isn’t waiting on keys.
Our office is in Rockville, about 20 minutes down I-270, and every Germantown move uses the same simple pricing: an hourly rate for your crew plus a one-time 1-hour arrival fee. Pads, shrink-wrap and furniture disassembly/reassembly are included.
An hourly rate for a 2- or 3-mover crew, plus a one-time 1-hour arrival fee that covers the truck and the drive from our office and back.
Example
A 2-mover crew works 4 hours from arrival to the end of unloading. You pay 4 hours of crew time + the 1-hour arrival fee = 5 billable hours at your crew’s hourly rate.
Because the total depends on the time actually worked, we don’t give fixed prices in advance. What we do give you up front is the hourly rate for your crew, so you can plan.
How our pricing worksYou choose a 2-mover or a 3-mover crew. Each has its own hourly rate, and you only pay for the time the crew actually works.
One hour added once per move. It covers the truck and the crew’s drive from our office to your Germantown or Clarksburg address and back to the office afterwards.
The clock starts when the crew arrives at your job and stops when the last item is unloaded. That’s when your total is calculated — together, on the spot.
No fuel surcharges and no stair fees. Pads, shrink-wrap and furniture disassembly are part of the job.
Confirm your settlement and keys before booking the time. We protect new floors and walls with runners and pads, and can move in the same day you get the keys.
Many Germantown apartment communities are garden-style walk-ups with set move-in hours. Ask the leasing office where the truck can park.
Kingsview, Churchill, Gunners Lake and Milestone have lots of three-level townhomes. Plan for stairs: we usually recommend 3 movers.
Clarksburg and Germantown HOAs may limit truck parking hours. A quick check with the HOA avoids problems on move day.
Rush hour on I-270 can be slow in both directions. Early starts and mid-day drives between homes keep billable time down.
If the new home isn’t ready, we can keep your belongings in storage and deliver once it is.

One of the most common moves we do in Germantown is the step from an apartment into a first townhouse or single-family home — often within a few miles. It’s usually a bigger job than people expect: the apartment held more than it looked like, and the new place has stairs on every floor.
